A Gathering of Nevada County Women's Organizations, Leaders & Entrepreneurs
Took place on Wednesday, October 18th
at PIC's home
at 138 New Mohawk Drive in Nevada City
We welcomed women business owners, nonprofit leaders,
activist group volunteers who represented staff, boards and local groups.
Does this sound familiar?
We are innovative.
We do a lot on our own or with a small group
of loyal partners and volunteers ...
The PIC brought together a circle of women leaders to leverage our resources, wisdom, and experience and promote a new generation of women entrepreneurs,
activist, and organizational leaders in Nevada County.
Women gathered at the PIC representing local organizations committed to making a difference in our community, especially those supporting women and girls.
This was the first opportunity to begin the conversation of
how the Positive Impact Center (PIC) can be a “home” and gathering place
for women from all sectors to work together.
The Positive Impact Center's Leadership Council
explores ways to address local group needs
to produce programs, gather, network and collaborate.
Women’s lives, issues, and organizations are at the center of the PIC.
Our Women’s Leadership Circle consists of volunteers from a cross section
of organizations representing the issues relevant to our community
They will plan annual events and ongoing collaborations
that meet the mission and visions for a united community.
Thank you to the thirty women who attended this event and the twelve who volunteered to represent segments of the community on our Leadership Council.
